Blue and neutrals might not seem traditional colors for Easter.  But this color combo can create a casual, farmhouse feel that is beautiful for any holiday!  Unexpected colors are always a visual treat and allow you to utilize dishes you love.  It can be fun to set a fancy table, but it is never necessary to obtain an inviting atmosphere where guests will want to linger.  To me, this is what holiday dinners should be about.  So today I’d like to share a more casual version of what my Easter table will look like this year.  Simple and rustic but not missing holiday vibes!  Easter comes early this year…but you don’t have to stress.  A relaxed table never means uninspiring!   I hope you enjoy this casual inspiration…

Almond cookie bites are a delicious treat that will be perfect for Valentine’s Day!  They’re easy to make and so yummy that they’re almost addictive!  The tiny bite-size goodies are one of my family’s favorite desserts.  The recipe makes a bunch so you can serve some and keep some in the freezer too.  I love desserts that freeze well so I can keep them on hand for impromptu get togethers or anytime you need a sweet snack.   With Happy Hearts Day approaching fast, I thought they’d be a delightful to serve or give!  I’m sharing the easy recipe today and I hope you love them as much as I do! Let’s celebrate Valentines with the yummiest little bites!

A cocoa bomb “cake topper” is a darling way to decorate a holiday dessert!  Easy, quick and cute as a button too! Earlier this fall I found a fun cocoa bomb that I used on a cake for Halloween.  And this Christmas, the hot chocolate options didn’t disappoint.  Cocoa bombs are plentiful and come in so many whimsical shapes now.  You can use them to make a special cup of cocoa, or give as a holiday gift. But you can also use them in unexpected ways to make seasonal treats really stand out.  If you’re looking for quick & simple cake decorating ideas, what I’m sharing today is definitely for you! Whether you bake one yourself or buy it from the grocer, you can quickly transform it into holiday joy.  Let’s save the cocoa sipping for later and adorn our desserts instead!

Gingerbread season is finally upon us!  Making a gingerbread house has been a tradition in our home as long as I can remember.  It’s such a festive holiday activity and it makes a wonderful decoration too!  Some of the holiday creations you see are amazing and elaborate, but that’s not a requirement to construct a cheerful, cookie dwelling for your home!  They can be simple and imperfect and still bring holiday joy to your celebrations all season long.   Today I want to share a fun idea I decided to try this year and hope you’ll find some inspo and encouragement to give building a gingerbread house a try!  You can hide a multitude of ginger-oopsies with all sorts of goodies…so take a peek at my imperfect holiday joy!  Let the construction begin…
