Snowman cinnamon rolls will be a sweet winter treat!  Serve them up for breakfast, brunch or even an after school snack. You may have seen these cuties circulating social media during the holidays, but just because Christmas is over doesn’t mean the sweet fun needs to be!  You can make them whimsical for the kiddos or create a more grownup version, which is what I’m sharing today.  Either way, this super simple sweet treat will bring bright smiles and happy tummies during the long winter!  Try making a breakfast charcuterie with a winter twist…

A patriotic centerpiece is a fun decoration for 4th of July celebrations…especially when there’s a little crafting involved!  Today I want to share a fun idea I’ve been wanting to try using dried blooms from my garden.  Simple materials make this DIY project economical and easy enough for kids to do too!  So even though the fourth is just around the corner, you can still have some fun making “fireworks” that will last!  Let’s get crafty…

A simple Valentine treat with a Boho twist might be a great way to celebrate the holiday this year!  This decorative style is so trendy & fun and will blend beautifully with Valentine decor!  If you’re not familiar…the short definition is it’s a way of blending colors, styles and textures in an eclectic way.  Often using grasses, wicker, jute, and globally inspired materials.  So today I’m going to share how I easily transformed a Christmas wreath into a Bohemian inspired addition for my Valentine’s Day treat-table. It looks so pretty and made my buffet look grand even though it was only holding the simplest goodies.   I’m also going to share my new favorite frosting recipe that’s so delicious and perfect for happy hearts day!  So let’s get into the Boho vibes…

I hope everyone is enjoying this Labor Day weekend in whatever way is wonderful to you!  We spent many of the days putting the word “labor” to good use around this old house of ours!  But the weather cooperated and we had relaxing evenings around the fire, squeezed in a family movie night, and of course, fired up the grill for dinners on the patio…a wonderful way to unofficially end the summer!  Best wishes for the rest of your long weekend to be filled with joy!

Have a great holiday everyone!

Do You Wanna Build a Snowman?

Sorry, but while thinking of a title for this post I just couldn’t resist that phrase in the popular song from Disney’s Frozen!  (I hope you don’t have it in your head all day!)  Wintertime is the season that inspires us to create those whimsical characters standing guard in the snow laden yard.  And even though their bodies are made from the frozen stuff, they can somehow melt the hearts of those who gaze upon them!  Unfortunately, we haven’t had enough snow (around here anyway) to get bundled up and make a seasonal friend or two…maybe there’s still a chance, it’s only January after all!  And while we wait for the snowflakes to fall I’ll share another way to make a snowman…the edible kind!  Leave it to my mom’s creative & talented friend to inspire me once again when she shared a photo of a snowman who festively adorned her holiday table.  The great thing about snowmen…they don’t just represent Christmas but the ENTIRE chilly-weather season!  Even though Santa has retired until December comes again, the snowman is still in style!  So if you’re having guests over this winter and want to create a wonderfully whimsical addition to your appetizer table, take a peek at this version of a snowman…it might just be your new favorite way to create the happy fellow!
