Five Dollar Favorites!

I Hope everyone had a wonderful spring break…if you had a break last week!  We rolled in last night from Washington DC…always a fun time and the best part–the cherry blossoms were still blooming!  It was my first time seeing them in all their glory and I can’t wait to share all the beautiful sights later this week!  But in the meantime…when I find wonderful little trinkets and treasures–I just HAVE to share them!  And today the fun things I’m sharing are all under five dollars!!  I love to have fabulous go-to items for gift giving and entertaining…you never know when you may need a quick hostess gift or a favor!  And I’m also thrilled when I can find economical goodies that look like a million!  Spring is finally here, ready and waiting for all those patio & backyard gatherings to begin…so you might need some goodies to make your party complete or to give a token of thanks to that special host!  Let me share with you some five dollar favorites you may want to add to your list!

love it big…spend little!

you know by now that i have a slight addiction to the Target dollar spot section!  it’s really hard to walk by without finding some little goodie that can’t be passed up…so it shouldn’t surprise you that one of these five-dollar-&-under faves came from those fabulous bins!  i LOVE candles…and they make great gifts too!  check out this cute tin for $3…

who wouldn’t like the scent of cake wafting throughout their space? (not to mention that the packaging is adorable!)

i did bring up patio entertaining…so i have to share this fun little napkin tin from the Better Homes and Gardens line at Walmart!  i have to confess that this one is a tad over the $5 tag…but only by 50 cents!

i love the way the handles fold over to hold the napkins down on a breezy spring day!  even though there’s an entire line of galvanized products for outdoor entertaining, the napkin holder is simple enough to match any casual style!

another Walmart find that i love…these mint julep cups!  priced under $4 they’re affordable to buy multiples for beverages but also make wonderful vessels for flowers, straws, veggies…you name it!

mint julep cups

i used mine on my Easter table with a little plant tucked inside!  i just temporarily potted the plant inside a plastic storage bag so it wouldn’t destroy the inside of the cup!

how about for holding utensils?

wood spoons

and speaking of utensils…another fun party supply that i LOVE to keep on hand is disposable serving spoons!  these $1 wood cuties from Micheal’s Craft Stores will be fun for all my patriotic parties!

and what do you think about these completely adorable and unique wine bags from Alice-Louise Press?!  this is just a small selection of what you can choose to package your bottle of wine  and deliver it in whimsical style!  you can get favor bags and lunch sacks too…so much fun for a party or event!

AND did i mention that they’re under $2?!  at that price you can pick up several to keep on hand!  so CUTE!!
