Valentine’s Day is only a few days away!  But it’s not too late to still think about preparing special snacks…there’s plenty of simple fixes to make a treat table pretty even if it’s last minute!  Making food look festive can be so simple and create a holiday display that’s Cupid worthy in a matter of minutes!  I love simple snacks for any time of the year.  And as much fun as fancy desserts can be, using traditional favorites can be equally tasty and often times nostalgic too!  So keeping it short today, let me share with you some favorite supplies that can transform the ordinary into something pretty sweet!

spread the love…

it doesn’t matter if you’re preparing a holiday surprise for a bunch of kids or a group of gal-pals, these simple ideas will work for all…especially if they like a little sugar!  you might remember my holiday surprise for my boys a few posts back.  one of my favorites from that family party was dressing up my everyday mugs with some simple holiday window clings…

holiday decorations

this was such an easy way to make an ordinary item perfect for the holiday without being permanent!  you can use them on candy jars or milk bottles too…anything that they will adhere to!  now you can raise a mug of cocoa and toast to a happy Valentine’s Day!

and since conversation hearts are so plentiful and fun…why not pop into your local bakery and grab the cookie variety!  make them look extra darling by using simple bake cups and stickers to dress them up in holiday style…

stickers and treat cups

don’t these little puffy stickers look sweet?  i love using stickers on almost anything…they’re a quick, easy and inexpensive way to transform an ordinary item!

cookie cups

if you have kids, you may already have gummy snacks in the house.  and near Valentine’s Day they’re plentiful in holiday shapes too!  i topped off some sweet cupcakes from the supermarket bakery with a fruit snack heart…so simple!

and by taking some glittery coasters (from the Target dollar spot) and attaching them with a dollop of adhesive to some vintage door knobs…i have some really festive cupcake stands too!

if you don’t have anything on hand to make a base, not to worry!  look how sweet they look on the coaster alone!  a fun way to add some color to a party table!

holiday snack

you might have noticed the fun sips sitting behind…simply a bottle of milk and a paper straw topped with a snack cake!  remember how good those used to be?  kids still think so too!

and one more little decorative idea…simply clip a Valentine to a frame filled with wire!  no wire?  strips of ribbon or twine will do the trick to highlight a sweet little card…

hang it on the wall or prop it up behind your treats!  a fun and easy little backdrop for some simple holiday snacks!
