Holiday Waffle Bar

A waffle bar is always a fun idea for a breakfast or brunch celebration…but it can also be a sweet surprise on any ordinary day!  What I love best about this kind of morning treat is that you most likely have everything you need right in your freezer, fridge or pantry!  If you have kids you probably have frozen waffles or pancakes on hand…and if you don’t, you can easily add them to your grocery list!  We always have waffles in the freezer, they’re great for picky breakfast eaters but equally wonderful for after school snacks!  You can do so many delicious things with a waffle…make them sweet, make them savory, keep them healthy, or even indulge on some cheat-worthy additions for an over-the-top sugar fix!  And since they don’t have to be just for breakfast, they’re the perfect choice for a holiday treat! Today I’d love to share how easy it can be to create a waffle bar with a simple Easter theme! Serve it in the morning, afternoon, or even for dinner…and let the waffle make your family smile!

hop on up to the waffle bar!

waffle bar

i happen to love a serve-yourself treat table!  it makes it easy on the host and it allows guests or family members to create a custom goodie to indulge on!  i used little tins to hold a trio of toppings for the waffle stacks!

tasty toppings!

keeping it simple, i offered up something fresh & fruity…

something savory for the meat-lovers…

and sitting next to the bucket of bacon, something sweet!  a holiday s’mores mix is a fun addition!

waffle bar toppings

how cute are the bunny graham crackers?  toss in some mini mallows, chocolate chips and…YUM!

short stack/tall stack!

the easiest way to offer up stacks of waffles is with the toaster variety!  keep them on a mini iron skillet in a warm oven until you’re done toasting up the package…then they can go from stove to table in a snap!

waffle bar, chocolate chip waffles

what a convenient way to serve them…and cute too!

waffle bar

label it!

i love chalkboard ANYTHING for labeling food or decorating a party table!  chalk signs and tags are plentiful AND reusable!

waffle bar

how fun are these chalkboard eggs for a fun twist on the breakfast table?

waffle bar food label idea

tucked inside a festive egg cup, they’re a sweet way to label the two waffle choices…and the scattered poms were inspired by the dots on the cute cups!

i used more eggs to label the syrup too…

i love these sweet, farmhouse pitchers filled with traditional maple AND blueberry goodness to drizzle over the waffle creations!

simple sips

in my house, you can’t wash down a hearty breakfast with anything other than milk!

so out come the milk bottles each with a colorful straw to mimic the bright poms on the table!  two really easy ways to add some festive hues to a celebration!

party decor

whether you serve a waffle bar for a sleepover party or just for your family…you can add a decoration or two to make it extra festive!  i used simple stickers to decorate my wall!  press lightly so they won’t damage paint OR add them to a frame filled with colored paper!

waffle bar

i also attached black poms to make new, fluffy bunny tails on an old garland!  a fun way to repurpose an item to add holiday cheer to the table!

waffle bar fun will be sure to please kids AND kids at heart!

so spread the waffle love!
