Patio dining is my favorite thing to do all spring, summer and fall! Since we can’t entertain all year long in my neck of the woods, I’m always waiting anxiously for these seasons to arrive so we can savor the outdoor fun as long as possible! It doesn’t matter if I’m planning a party, having a lunch with my pals, or just serving a meal to my family on any ordinary day…eating outside just makes it feel special! So today I’d like to share some really simple ways to make patio dining practically effortless! I can’t cook the meal for you…but I can show you how to set a pretty table with affordable goodies perfect for outdoors! So let’s get ready to enjoy all the patio, porch and back yard celebrations!

a simple setup is perfect for outside eating…it doesn’t have to be grand to look sweet!
i try to let each season help me decorate…what’s blooming in my garden inspired the color pallet on the tabletop!
this time of year i have lots of blue-ish lavender blooms, so i added some pretty disposable goodies in similar color to the table…
how cute is the flatware? too pretty to throw away so it’s a good thing they’re also reusable!
i love to mix disposable with traditional dishes & linens. it stretches the budget and can add elegance to a minimal table setting!
plastic placemats, cups and pitchers are great, non-disposable items that are ideal for outdoors!
these plastic tumblers and matching pitcher look like glass but won’t shatter if they fall on the tile! i LOVE all the shatterproof choices out there now!
and you might have noticed the cupcake…
a really fun and whimsical way to add some sugar to each place setting!
…and you’ve already got dessert right on the table!
fresh flowers always add beauty to any table! but you don’t need a huge arrangement…how sweet is this little vase filled with a combo of grocer flowers and sprigs from the garden!
the takeaway? never fret about setting a simple table…it doesn’t take much to create something pretty!
just get outside and enjoy…
