Today we’d like to share a fun DIY project!  A St. Patrick’s Day display that’s easy to make, would be a fun family craft, and will surely make you smile!  If you’ve got a cork board and some colorful tissue paper you can create a whimsical holiday decoration that’s simply–happy!  Check out this colorful project that will have you designing your own custom treat at the end of the rainbow!

some St. Paddy’s Day whimsy…

a cork board is transformed with tissue paper to a colorful rainbow’s end!

you just need some simple supplies for this transformation…

supplies

cut the tissue sheets into 6 sections…no need for perfection ’cause you’re gonna wad ’em up anyway!  gently scrunch the tissue and start making your shape by pinning it onto the cork…

you can always sketch a guide on your cork with chalk–this may keep your rainbow in a recognizable shape! (especially if kids are helping!)

some rice lights were carefully pinned in afterward for a touch of sparkle!

you could add a simple banner…printed from the computer and whimsically strung on a wire!

and  the “pot o’ gold”–a footed bowl filled with golden goodies!

another banner merely hangs from the edge.  wire works great to hug the corners of the dish without using tape…

and the bounty inside…chocolate coins and gold foil eggs!

what might you find at the end of your rainbow?
