The Harvest season is filled with so many comforts and joys…the beauty of the trees putting on their last show before winter sets in, the aromas of wonderful cooking, baking and wood smoke from the fire, the warmth of a wooly blanket to swaddle yourself in, and the excitement of pouncing into a fresh pile of leaves! Fall offers a time to get back to simple basics…appreciating the beauty of nature which has so much to offer! Everything we need to add some fall beauty to our homes is already around us…often times in our own backyards (or at least at the nearest market!) Try adding some found nature to your home or Thanksgiving table…the results promise to please!
let’s go natural…
a cake stand holds a found buckeye branch…
it couldn’t be more simple…this branch, paired with a pumpkin, is as beautiful as any fancy cake!
apothecary jars hold buckeyes & peanuts…
lots of natural goodies to choose from…
supermarkets, craft stores and back yards offer all of these items at very reasonable prices!
pile acorns in a votive holder…spray them with your favorite scented oil…
cinnamon maybe?
most supermarkets offer an array of gourds and pumpkins…
piled in an urn with pine cones–easy & lovely!
going natural…as easy as it is beautiful!
