“Boo Bag” Inspiration…for Grownups!

“Boo bag” inspiration is on the menu today!  But this time with adults in mind!  If you enjoy the tradition of Halloween “booing” you know how much fun the kiddos have receiving a whimsical gift full of holiday goodies left on the doorstep.  I’m guessing grownups will love it too!  So today I’ve pulled together a fun gift idea that you could use to “boo” your friends or present as a hostess gift.  This sweet (or should I say savory) idea is super easy to create too.  Just a couple frightful details will take a simple gift idea to spooktacular!  October is just days away…so let’s start thinking about “boo bag” fun!

how darling is this holiday tote for holding some boo bag goodies!  best part? it can double-duty as a shopping tote or trick-or-treat bag for the kiddos too!

but since this particular gift has grownups in mind…how about something designed just for them?  here’s a few simple supplies to dress up wine & cheese…

getting “cheesy”!

it’s easy to make a block of cheese look presentable for the holiday and parchment will always do the trick…

simply wrap the folded paper around the block and secure it with your favorite twine…

a plastic bug tied to the top is a easy way to achieve a creepy-crawly holiday presentation!

something crusty…

i don’t know about you but i love crusty bread with wine & cheese!  rustic or seedy loaves are perfect for the season…

you can use another baking parchment to wrap the loaf…

then roll it up inside a cute towel!  the recipient can eat the loaf then use the wrap in the kitchen!

more twine can secure the towel to the bread.  super simple but so cute!

wine time!

it’s really easy to take a bottle of vino and make it look ghostly good!  simply tie on strips of whispy cheesecloth to the neck…

and if you’re feeling extra whimsical, try topping it with a party hat!  it kind of reminds me of Cousin It…

if you can’t find halloween party hats, tiny, felt witch hats can be found in most craft & party stores.  they’re just as cute and very inexpensive too!
