Citrus cocktails are wonderful for summer sipping. Bright, crisp flavor and icy cold…just perfect for cooling off on a hot day! I’m really excited to partner with Sobieski Vodka to share some wonderful recipes today using their new grapefruit vodka. Not only are they easy drinks to craft but they’re so beautiful too! Honestly the colors remind me of hues in a summer sunset and they taste just as divine as they look. So let’s get right to it today and raise a glass to the dog days of summer!

let’s begin with the vodka…i can’t get over the gorgeous color!
and some bright, juicy fruit always adds flavor & looks pretty too!
now let’s craft! the two drinks i’m featuring today are the salty lion and the handy shandy served up on a platter…
the salty lion was such a beautiful color and so tasty! i loved the salty rim but you can add as much or as little as you prefer.
here’s how you make it…
2 oz Sobieski grapefruit vodka
3 oz ruby red grapefruit juice
1 squeeze lime wedge
build in a glass. add ice and stir. garnish with pink himalayan sea salt and a lime wheel.
the handy shandy was another pretty shade of sunshine topped with fresh fruit. it was refreshingly yummy too!
here’s how you make it…
2 oz Sobieski grapefruit vodka
.5 oz orange liqueur
.5 oz lime juice
1.5 oz belgian wheat beer
1.5 oz ginger beer
build in a glass and add ice. garnish with orange and ruby red grapefruit wedges.
pretty drinks deserve a pretty presentation. great thing is it can be so simple & easy to do!
you can use your extra fruit to do all the work for you! tuck some slices here and there…
and maybe add a flower or two! easy peasy using what you have!
on a really hot day extra ice is nice. a pretty bowl & more fruit makes it look special with zero effort!
so if you want to beat the heat try some summertime in a glass…
