Sometimes the most common, utilitarian items can turn out to be simply beautiful! Today we wanted to share the simple tool box. These old boxes, replaced by the tool belt, are still wonderful to hold tools, gardening items and even household cleaners in charming style…in this instance, this rustic beauty is outstanding filled with blooms from the garden!
The beginning of August brings with it the joys of the longest yard sale…miles of treasure hunting extending from Michigan to Alabama along a single stretch of highway! This year I was fortunate enough to go on this adventure–even though I barely scratched the surface! I honestly spent an entire day only traveling about 100 miles! You can’t believe the amount of dealers you encounter along the roadside…I’m not sure how you could do the entire stretch even in the 4 days it is held! None the less, it was tons of fun and I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves the anticipation of found treasure at great yard sale!
At Giggle we love to entertain…or at least dream about throwing parties and creating fun displays…a common pastime for us both! A baseball themed party was the “extra inning” finish for a fun season of Little League Ball! With lots of Giggle Glitter, this party was a big success despite a few lingering showers! We certainly had fun with lots of baseball lingo and simple decorations…just right for this casual celebration!

In May we featured a planter that Sarah had made out of an espresso coffee can…so adorable and resourceful! It’s fun to be inspired by others…so on a shopping trip to Ikea (one of my favorite places!) a soda can became something more than tin for the recycling bin! Ikea is famous for cute and simple labeling on their products, especially food items. The minimalistic design is so great for just about any decor and particularly perfect for patios or summer entertaining! There are limitless choices for containers…Sarah had the right idea! Look at everything with an open mind and you will be amazed at what you will see…
