Who says a party needs to stay in one place? For something different, try packing up a party and hitting the road! Recently we did just that for a small group of kids for a birthday celebration…a night at the drive-in theater with a party–to go! I know packing a party sounds daunting but it really was an easy thing to do…no fancy decorations required…just simple supplies & goodies bags would help create a festive adventure! Take a peek at how simple a “party-to-go” can be…
loaded up and off we go…
getting ready…
a drive-in movie requires snacks…but instead of heading to the concession stand every few minutes…pack up your own special treats!
these cute bags from Crate & Barrel hold movie snack favorites!
each filled with surprises–
candy, glow sticks and popcorn…
mini doughnuts…
simply wrapped in a treat bag & washi tape
…and more candy!
a little sugar overload maybe but it’s a party after all!
top it all off with easy clips & tags…
and presto! you’ve got perfect snack sacks for everyone!
something to wash it all down…
a simple tub holds the soda just like at a real party!
some folding chairs & blankets…
(we did take two cars to hold extra seating, a cooler of waters, bags of sweatshirts…and kids!)
it really was simple, easy to travel with the supplies as they’re shown, not messy (since the kids sat outside the car!) and was enjoyed by everyone…parents included!
whether a drive-in movie, the beach, or a park…
for a fun adventure…make a party…to go!
(we’ll be off line this weekend while we cook up some new Giggle goodies and enjoy our last few days before school starts! check in on monday as we wind down summer and introduce a new season of giggles!)
