Gingerbread season is finally upon us!  Making a gingerbread house has been a tradition in our home as long as I can remember.  It’s such a festive holiday activity and it makes a wonderful decoration too!  Some of the holiday creations you see are amazing and elaborate, but that’s not a requirement to construct a cheerful, cookie dwelling for your home!  They can be simple and imperfect and still bring holiday joy to your celebrations all season long.   Today I want to share a fun idea I decided to try this year and hope you’ll find some inspo and encouragement to give building a gingerbread house a try!  You can hide a multitude of ginger-oopsies with all sorts of goodies…so take a peek at my imperfect holiday joy!  Let the construction begin…

An easy s’mores bin or basket is a fun idea for spring, summer AND fall entertaining!  S’mores are such a treat for friends & family members of ALL ages and really easy to serve too.  My family enjoys this gooey dessert right up until the snow starts to fall…so i usually keep a container full of the fixings at easy reach for spur-of-the-moment munching!  This season I decided to decorate a s’mores bin that looks cute sitting right out in the kitchen until we have our next bonfire.  With common supplies you can make a darling display of deliciousness to keep at your fingertips for quick family fun!  I’m not sure I know anyone who doesn’t love a s’more…and there’s so many different ways to make them you can surely please even the most finicky eaters.  Let me share how simple it is to create with items you might already have in the house!

A New Year can’t come fast enough for most of us!  And while our celebrating might still be different, I have some fun inspiration for combining a Christmas favorite while ringing in 2021!  This holiday sure crept up on me, and we never got around to finishing our gingerbread house.  So why not decorate one on New Year’s Eve!?  Holiday festivities might include only family for a little while longer, so New Year’s Eve is the perfect night to complete this tradition!  I’m so excited to team up with The Kits & Pieces Co. to bring you this family fun…and share how easy it is to make it look spectacular too!  So let’s walk 2020 to the door…but still cherish the joys that Christmastime brings!  Ring in a New Year…
